[Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. seeks a Senior Transducer Process Engineer to work as part of the R&D team developing ultrasound transducers products and advanced technologies. Support projects in determining and developing the 1 to 3 ML Array Stacks and Final Assembly Operations (FAO). Optimize and document processes for manufacturing.  Transfer designs and processes to manufacturing personnel.  Understand, set-up, use and interpret design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC).  Interface very closely with Acoustic Design Engineer, Tooling Engineers, and Electrical Design Engineers to maximize performance both acoustically and thermally by creating new materials, processes, and assembly sequences that solve the design challenges. Work with other transducer cross-function teams for process development and integration activities. Envision complex, multi-component structures. Technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects within the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of transducer components and assembly processes.  Prepare design and process specifications, analyses, and recommendations for presentations and approval.  Provide technical guidance to engineers and engineering technicians.  Prepare material for ECO release using ISO 13485.

[The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Acoustics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related Science and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: Surface science, materials engineering and precision assembly techniques; Experience with semiconductor and ultrasound processes, including casting, lamination or bonding, dicing, sputtering, and grinding; Experience in designing medical equipment, including reliability and compliance; Experience with MS Word and MS Excel; Experience with Minitab, Matlab, SAP, QMS (Quality Management Systems), DOE, and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma); Experience in performing characterization, root cause analysis and construct PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
