Terex Corporation Treasury Intern (Summer 2022) in Norwalk, Connecticut

Position Overview:

The Treasury Intern will support the Treasury team in a series of assignments selected from the Treasury, Risk Management and Terex Financial Services (“TFS”)/Trade Credit functions that comprise the department of a global leader in manufacturing equipment. In general, the role may include financial analysis, reporting, transaction execution, policy management, process documentation and planning activities.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be assigned responsibilities drawn from the functional areas described below:

  • Global Cash Management – Includes global cash management initiatives, changes to bank relationships, and day-to-day international treasury operations to maximize value and minimize risk.

  • Global Cash Forecasting – Supports the international business units in establishing daily cash forecasting capabilities enabling the businesses to operate more efficiently.

  • Cash Repatriation – Identifies opportunities to mobilize international cash as efficiently as possible for repatriation and intercompany funding requirements.

  • Relationship Management – Manages relationships with major commercial banks, investment banks, rating agencies and other external advisors.

  • Trade Finance - Supports the global business needs by providing advice in all aspects of trade finance (letters of credit and guarantees). Supervises the letter of credit requisition process, ensuring consistency with approved practices.

  • Capital Markets – Encompasses debt management and shareholder return programs such as term loans, dividends and share repurchase.

  • Hedging Programs – Includes programs that mitigate risk from fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, interest rates and commodity prices.

  • Risk Management – Covers corporate insurance programs related claims management activities.

  • TFS/Trade Credit – Involves the process of approving equipment finance for customers purchasing equipment, and the setting and managing credit limits for customers purchasing equipment, parts and services from the company.

  • Process Improvement – Focuses on continuous improvement of the processes underlying the various functions in the department.

    Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior year standing (as of Fall 2022) at accredited 4 year university/college.

  • Pursuing a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of a cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Desire to build a career in Finance

  • Track record of demonstrable accomplishments in school and at work
