Job Description

We are currently seeking an Associate Procurement Manager– Energy and Fuels , to join the BlueTriton Brands, Inc. Supply Chain Procurement organization based in Stamford, CT . Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager – Energy and Fuels , you will work closely with key stakeholders and play an integral role in defining and implementing energy and fuel procurement and risk management strategies, negotiating supplier contracts, managing supplier relationships, and identifying and implementing savings opportunities for factory locations across the US and Canada utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in energy and fuels procurement (diesel fuel and/or propane sourcing preferred) for another large industrial/manufacturing organization, consumer packaged goods company, energy or fuel supplier. This role is based out of our Stamford, CT HQ with a hybrid work schedule

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborate to define and execute energy procurement and risk management strategy for diesel fuel, propane, electricity and natural gas for both the retail and Ready Refresh business units.

• Anticipate and track energy contracts coming due.

• Ensure supply through the development of incumbent and new supplier relationships.

• Develop and perform RFI/RFP activities for energy supply.

• Engage with stakeholders and legal function to negotiate and finalize master agreements and transaction confirmations.

• Identify energy cost savings opportunities.

• Engage and manage relationships with various internal stakeholders (ie., legal, finance, and plant operations).

• Ensure compliance of Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.

• Manage 3rd party utility bill payment provider account relationship. This will include negotiating contact renewal, resolving late payment issues, minimizing late fees and resolving other issues as they arise.

Qualifications

Key qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred or other applicable discipline required.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with energy procurement for categories such as: diesel fuel, propane, electricity and natural gas within a corporate setting or with an energy supplier is preferred.

• Solid understanding of the diesel fuel, propane, electricity and/or natural gas markets.

• Team player that is willing and able to provide support for RFI and RFP preparation, execution and analysis.

• Commercial understanding of strategic category management.

• Strong negotiation skills, able to lead complex negotiations, manage supplier relationships and drive demanding service levels.

• Ability to work independently to identify and research relevant market, industry and supplier information.

• SAP experience highly preferred.

• Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to influence senior management.

• Proven track record in working collaboratively with different teams in complex organizations and supporting multiple sourcing initiatives.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Must have strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
